26' Strider Single
A sleek wooden single, designed to slice through the water with ease
Many modern boats are either designed for the elite "Olympic Class" rower or are slower "recreational" designs, with few options in-between. Our aim is to build a boat for the rower who wants to feel the rush of flying across the water in a sleek design, while at the same time focusing on practical constraints of every day life.
Through building and testing a myriad of materials and experimental designs, we settled on a strip planked modular hull of book-matched Poplar with Ash and High Grade Ply for structural components. This wooden construction is not just beautiful, but utilizes modern strip construction techniques for a strong and rigid design.

Our riggers are fabricated in-house out of hardened 6061 Aluminum. These are joined to the hull with readily available hardware, through custom nylon bushings to increase the longevity of the mounting points. The boat comes with easy to adjust Dreher pins, paired with Concept 2 Oarlocks.
We offer two sizes of single action Dreher carbon fiber seats, medium and large. They ride on AussieRail anodized aluminum slides at a 23 cm spacing which is compatible with most seats on the market.
Our foot stretcher is a combination of standard H2Row hardware and custom fabricated aluminum components. It is available in either the traditional flat style, or with an ergonomic bend for earlier heel contact through the drive. Shoes are provided by H2Row and are available in standard colors/sizes.
The skeg is manufactured in house to fit into our reinforced fin-box. It is designed to break away under impact and be simple to swap out. Additional sizes / profiles are available upon request.
The deck is made of heat shrink polyester fabric and is attached using a high strength double-sided tape, with a UV resistant cloth tape border.
Our goal is to get you on the water, and our price reflects this. The Strider Single starts at $7,500 USD, with many additional customizations available.
Individual sections can be purchased directly. The bow and stern start at $2,000 USD individually. The fully rigged rower (stateroom) starts at $3,500 USD.
